Rob Bauer, ICPM Associate Director of Education, was recently presented with an award by Pensioen Pro, a financial publication that features news on the Dutch pension and investment sector. The Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Dutch Pension Sector recognizes Rob’s positive impact on the pension community. Congratulations, Rob!

Rob, also ICPM’s former Executive Director, is Professor of Finance (chair: Institutional Investors) and holder of the Elverding Chair on Sustainable Business, Culture and Corporate Regulation at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics in The Netherlands. His academic research is focused on pension funds, strategic investment policy, sustainable finance, responsible investing, shareholder activism and corporate governance. His academic work has been published internationally in various professional and academic research journals.

He is also a senior research fellow of Netspar, a research member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), and director of the European Centre for Sustainable Finance (ECCE) at Maastricht University. In addition, he is co-founder of The Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI).
