Ole Beier Sørensen

Danish Labour market (ATP)

Ole Beier Soerensen is chairman of the European investor network Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), the European institutional investors network organisation on Climate Change and green growth and one of the leading investor voices on climate change and climate policy.
Ole Beier Soerensen heads ATP’s Research and Strategy department at the Danish pension giant ATP. He has a Ph.D. degree in Social Geography from the University of Copenhagen and his research covers a broad range of issues related to non-financial risk issues, pension systems, pension reform and pension management.
In resent years he has focussed particularly on pension reform issues and on non-financial investment risks – among them social responsibility and climate change – and on behalf of ATP he has been a key participant in discussions in the global investor community.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Danish African Guarantee Fund, he is a Board member at the International Centre for Pension Management at the Rotman Business School in Toronto, Canada and he serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Pension Law at the University of Copenhagen.
